gigi101 (sorry ended that last comment kinda short). Some people who were really bitter to the African Americans (plantation owners perhaps) would dress up as white hooded people and they called themselves the Ku klux klan (kkk) in which they would target African Americans and persecute them for having African decent. They saw the confederate flag as a sign of white supremacy (be cautious for there is also black supremacy). This is were we majorly call the confederate flag racist.
